I am an Indian, well, by birth. I have lived there for 29 years before migrating to USA in 2006. Since then I have been able to make three short trips. The first one was in March 2007 when we celebrated festival of Holi. The second one was in Oct 2008 when we celebrated Diwali and the third one was in Nov-2009 when we went to attend a family wedding.
The fourth one on July 22, 2011 was not a planned one. It was an emergency visit. My dad got Brain Hemorrhage and I had to fly in emergency. This is certainly not the way anyone would like to travel. But this travel was a very different experience to me. In just two weeks, I faced few dirty realities of life which were true but hard to accept.
I am not a changed man after this visit. But every such experience creates an impression in your life. The impression sometimes is temporary and sometimes is permanent. I am not sure what is in my case so far.
I will add more here soon as and when I will get time. I really want to give words to my experiences so that I should be able to remember them even if the impressions they have created are temporary.
